General Health home testing kits are easy to use and help set a baseline for wellbeing, whether you are new to using CBD or have been using it for a while. In fact, you don’t even need to use CBD to use this test. Order the home blood test kit online together with your CBD and check 24 biomarkers including Diabetes, Cholesterol, Hormones, Iron, Kidneys and Liver function from the comfort of your own home.
When you order online you will receive a postal kit with everything you need.
The general health home test kit is quick and simple to use. Clear instructions will guide you through the process of collecting the sample via a finger prick. Once you have the blood sample, complete the form and pop it in the post to our partners at London Medical Laboratories who will receive the sample and complete the testing. All you need to do is sit back and wait for an email with your results. This can take as little as 24 hours or at peak times, up to a few days. The results notification is also accompanied by a letter from a doctor with suggestions on how to follow up with your personal practitioner.
While we do everything we can to help our customers on their wellness journey it is important to say that we work with a partner to analyse these tests. CiiTECH is a cannabis healthcare company, we are not scientists or doctors and do not have our own testing facility.
Please do follow the instructions carefully, the test must be posted on the same day as the blood sample is taken to ensure it arrives at the laboratory freshly preserved.
BIOMARKERS
Cholesterol – HDL / LDL
High cholesterol can impact your quality of life and can affect your heart health. The general health blood test includes biomarkers for total cholesterol, HDL (high-density lipoprotein), LDL (low-density lipoprotein), triglyceride and HDL ratio.
Diabetes – HbA1c
Early diagnosis of diabetes or pre-diabetes can make a big difference to how the condition is managed, it’s even possible to backtrack to healthier blood glucose levels while in the pre-diabetic stage. Regular HbA1c checks are essential to diagnose and monitor progress.
Gout – Urate
Abnormal levels of uric acid in the blood indicate the presence of Gout, a complex form of arthritis caused by high levels of urate. Keeping track of this biomarker can help diagnose the condition so it can be managed and prevented for reoccurring.
Hormones – FBC Full Blood Count
We naturally produce many kinds of hormones, all of which have a part to play in how our body grows and functions. Imbalance or deficiency can indicate a variety of conditions. Doing a full blood count provides vital information about our hormone balance and cells in the blood.
Iron Levels – TIBC / UIBC / Transferrin / Creatine
The amount of iron carried in blood cells says a lot about the health of the body as the blood uses iron to transport oxygen around the body. The blood needs iron but not too much of it! Too low indicates anaemia, too high can be toxic and may be a sign of liver disease.
Kidney Function – Urea / Creatinine / GFR / Calcium
Kidneys help the body to regulate blood pressure, process and extract toxins and is therefore a vital component of maintaining and managing wellbeing. Testing how effective the kidneys are functioning can be a key indicator that something might need further investigation.
Liver Function – Albumin / Globulin / Protein / ALP / ALT/ AST / GGT
Like the kidneys, the liver is essential for processing many body functions, including detoxifying the blood, regulating blood sugar, and fighting inflammation and infections. Testing the levels of different proteins and enzymes in the blood can indicate whether the liver is healthy and functioning well.
